Newest grand baby!

Lucas Alex Peña born 11/08/09 10:26am 6lbs 9oz 19inches. Lucas is such a sweet little guy. Jared has his first picture of him with a little hat and and he looked like a little elf. So I call him buddy! Jared and MaQuel are such cute parents. Jared is busy taking care mommy and baby. He wanted MaQuel to go to bed, she said nooooo I just want to sit right here and hold my baby! I love holding him too.

Halloween

Halloween 09. Tyler, Zach and Allie were soooo cute. Ty and Zach were a little spooky. It was so fun to see them.

Allie's 1st birthday

This year has definately gone fast. Allie is already a year old. She has been such a joy in everyone's life. I am thankful for the blessing that she is to us. It was fun celebrating her birthday with her.

On the brighter side!

I Love my children and grandchildren, they make everything worth while!! I have had the best summer ever. Watching the kids play at the park, baseball, softball, camping, fishing, floating, swimming, summer movies and some nice dates with Todd. I am very glad they are in my life!

Still numb!

Swamp grass anyone? I guess out of 6 children I have been very fortunate! This is the worst! Mckay desided to take my van for a swim. Upon arriving at the scene all I could see was the back tires and rear of the van sticking straight up out of the canal. I was shocked! I didn't know if I was suppose to freak out, or be grateful he didn't hit the trees that he apparently missed by just inches. I was numb this could not be real, BUT IT IS!! I still have to tell myself every day at least he is alive, at least he is alive, so I don't kill him myself!

this is the female cub. She has a funny lil ear, the handler said she was born that way.

It was the craziest thing yesterday, someone came into wal-mart with a couple of bear cubs 3 months old. I got to hold them and it was sooooo fun! they are both black bears even though one is brown, the male is brown and will get up to 600 lbs. the female is the black one and will only be about 300 lbs. We held them for about a half hour, they make a cute noise. The handler said its like a kitten purring, they were happy.

What a year!!!

So many things have happened over such a short period of time. 2 weddings, a funeral, a new granddaughter, another grand baby on the way, a missionary, a graduation, a baptism. I am so blessed that most of the changes this year have been good! I love my children and am so glad they have blessed my life! Rhea added a new puppy to her family, Dozer and he is a handful! He loves to lick and lick. Eli had a baby girl in September, Allie's now 6 months old and ohhh how fast it has gone. I've never seen a baby that seems to LOVE life the way she does. She is such a happy sweet child sent from above! Jared married Maquel and they are expecting a baby around their first year anniversary. Spencer was just married March 21st and is on his way to a new life of his own. Andrew is still in California and absolutely LOVE'S HIS MISSION!!! McKay graduates in May and is leaving shortly after to sell security systems in Philly. Eric came to live with us in November and was baptized in January. He is doing great and has a great job. Hoping the end of this year brings GREAT THINGS!!!!

Good bye dear sister, you have been a light shining brightly in my life. I only hope that I can endure and be valiant to the end. You are pure in heart, loving, caring and love the Lord. I will miss our talks and your encouraging words of wisdom. I hope I can make it on my own. I love you and God bless you!

Miss you Phyllis

I know Phyllis is finally at peace, but I will miss her so! She had so much to teach me still. She was always teaching me and helping me any way she could. Even when she was the one that was suffering and in pain she worried about me and what she could do for me. She is truly one of Gods Angels now! I love you and will miss you and will be glad to see you again soon!

2009

Don't wanna say that 2009 will be great (don't wanna jinx it) but sure hope it turns out that way. Andrew loves his mission, hopefully Mckay graduates, I'm moving on and Eric was baptized. So far 2009 is okay.

Grand kids are super great and love them dearly. Spencer is getting married in March. Jared and Makell moved to Rexburg. I'm glad they are closer. Now only Rhea lives outta town ha ha.

I am sad that Phyllis is so very sick. She has always been there for me and I can not be there for her. I know she is going to Heaven she is pure in heart. I love her dearly and will miss her so much. She has always been the example of righteousness. She taught me to pray, have faith and love the Lord. May God bless her and keep her! Always in my heart PJ!! Love you forever and will see you again!

Late post. Baby Alexis born September 23, and is adored by absolutely everyone. Can't get enough of that sweet lil baby girl! she was an angel for halloween and how appropiate that is! Tyler was a warewolf, Zach was darth and I was a Red Sox fan!!! Mckay"s last football game was yesterday, its the last of this Peña crew. Good thing we have Tyler and Zach coming up with the same love for sports!

Trying to move on. Divorce takes its toll. Going to see if dating is for me. It's kinda scary so gotta take it slow. I have a great family and good friends that have helped me through a tough tough year. I am ready for peace, happiness and joy!

Finding purpose

Its hard at times to find what my purpose is anymore. I have come to the point in my life that my little ones are not so little. I love my children dearly and have truly been blessed with great spirits to come into my life. I should be looking forward to a new direction but can't seem to find what I am to do now. I am trying to go back to school to get an education FINALLY but I still have a year to go. I love being a grannie and am excited with allllll the fun things they bring into my life. If anyone wants a ginormous fish or a dog just let me know.
